The Department of Education is working closely with NSW Health in responding to COVID-19 cases and acts on the expert advice of NSW Health.
I would like to confirm with you that a member of our school community has tested positive for COVID-19 however the Department has been advised by NSW Health that they have not been on school grounds during the time they were infectious.
I would like to reassure you that the school will take action in accordance with NSW Health advice on a confirmed case of COVID-19 where there has been an impact on our school.
In this case there is no action required, it is a personal matter for those involved and they will be supported directly by NSW Health.
The students and staff identified as close contacts have been notified and asked to self-isolate for the required period.
NSW Health reminds anyone who has been unwell or if you develop any symptoms such as a fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, loss of smell/taste, muscle/joint pains, diarrhoea, nausea/vomiting or extreme tiredness to be tested at one of the COVID-19 testing clinics.
Further information on COVID-19 is available on the NSW Government website.
Thank you for your support in this matter.
