Canteen

On a Wednesday our secondary students take part in work crew, there are three different groups; lunch orders, coffee shop and the Wairoa shop.

Lunch orders

Students from all classes place lunch orders, which are then prepared, cooked and delivered by students.

Students can buy 2 sausage rolls for $2 and 4 chicken nuggets for $2.

Coffee shop

Students spend the morning preparing food such as soup, quiche, sandwiches, scones, and tray bakes. At lunch time, staff attend coffee shop and the students become waiters to serve the food with tea and coffee.

The Wairoa shop

Students prepare the items to be sold, set up their shop and prepare the trolly for the mobile canteen to visit the classrooms. Students can then visit the shop to buy some nice treats such as drinks, chips and chocolate.
