Book Week Parade

Last Friday, Wairoa School's celebration of Book Week culminated in a exciting parade featuring some of our favourite story book characters as well as fancy dress and wild hair! This year's theme was "Australia: Story Country."

Primary students enjoyed dressing up as characters from books such as 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt,' 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' and 'We're Going on a Croc Hunt' - they showed off their costumes by strutting down the runway while parents and staff cheered on!

Secondary students took fashion and style to a new level with their colourful clothes and crazy hair styles, complete with an array of vibrant ribbons, wigs and streamers!

The parade ended with some prizes for the best dressed students - congratulations to Matthew, Abigail, Steph and Nathan for their amazing attire.
